bove,
From W. DONALDSON, Esq., M.A., F.R.S.E., Headmaster.
Viewpark School, Spylaw Road,
Edinburgh, 22nd February 1911.
Mr W. KAY has been a Master here during the last Session. His work has been entirely in the Mathematical Department, and he has taught the most advanced pupils in that subject. Some of these are preparing for the Uni- versity Preliminary Examinations to be held shortly. He has a thorough knowledge of what he professes. He took a distinguished place in his College Classes, and his ability to teach has been shown to my utmost satisfaction since he took up work here. His style is quiet but effective, and the success of his methods is abundantly proved by the progress and attainments of those under his charge. The results shown are highly, creditable.
Outside his professional duties he possesses very con- siderable tact in his dealing with others, and I have no doubt his character is such as to command the respect and esteem of those with whom he may come in contact as Headmarter of any of our Public Schools,
W. DONALDSON.
